La Jolla Shores
Going north in La Jolla is the La Jolla Shores area. The beach is wide and hosts a wonderful playground the is enjoyed year round by locals and visitors. The park area has room for people to lounge, play frisbee and barbecue during the summer.
The University of California San Diego is in the northern part of La Jolla. The campus is large and continues to grow as its reputation for excellence is recognized internationally. The Geisel Library, named for Theodore Geisel, known by his pseudonym Dr. Seuss is an attraction on the northern end of the campus. The architects message when the building was first created is that it symbolizes "hands holding knowledge."
